Challenge
Oregon PERS Retirees Inc. (OPRI) lobbies on behalf of thousands of retired public employees across Oregon to protect their rights and benefits. For many years, OPRI relied on physical newsletters to communicate with members, which also limited their ability to reach other retirees and increase membership. The visual brand and website had become outdated as well. In order to reach more retirees, OPRI needed to incorporate digital platforms into their communications.
Solution
Rushlight Agency designed a strategy that would increase their reach and appeal to younger retirees with a fresh, modern look and consistent communications.
Brand Identity & Web
Redesigned the logo, giving it a contemporary and polished design. Clean, contemporary visuals were incorporated into a new website with added features, including a news page, a document library to house legislative reports and newsletters, and created a way to pay membership dues and make donations to their political action committee online.
Social Media & Engagement
Created and maintains a content calendar to manage consistent Facebook posts through stylish visuals and engaging content. Digital ads and video assets were developed to boost engagement on their Facebook page to expand their audience.

By increasing their online presence, OPRI has been able to enhance their brand awareness. While the print newsletter continues to be developed, member communication has been augmented through the website’s online news feature and consistent Facebook growth.
